The Capt. Bob Lewis Billfish Challenge & Charity would like to announce the gift of five $1,000 scholarships for 2009. Applications for these scholarships will be taken starting September 1, 2009 and we will accept applications through December 1, 2009. Awards will be given out sometime in January 2010. We would also like to announce that we are partnering this year with the University of Miami and its Marine Sciences program. This year we will give three scholarships to graduate students and two scholarships to undergraduate students towards their education or towards supplies for their education in Marine and Environmental Studies.
