Our mission has always been dedicated to promoting environmental education, marine conservation, and improving the health of our kids in the South Florida community. The Kids Challenge is our challenge to you, the community, to help our children and the children of South Florida. This year we are introducing a calendar of events with over $30,000 going to help the kids of South Florida. The events have been designed to help the kids in need, as well as, educate and get help from our own children. We plan to have these events become annual events which grow and become bigger and better each and every year. |

CAPT. BOB LEWIS KIDS FISHING CHALLENGE |
Our annual kids fishing tournament at Tropical Park will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Please click here to register! Please act fast as this fun filled event is open to the first 300 registrants and we already have well over 50 children of South Florida registered for the event. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Please be aware that even if you pre-register, event participation is on a first come, first serve basis. This free event teaches kids how to cast, bait a hook, and fish. Open to everyone with awards, free rods provided by Fish Florida, free t-shirts provided by Sands Petroleum, and free lunch. The Capt. Bob Lewis Challenge & Charity would like to again thank Lara Kramer and Fish Florida for their continued support with their generous donations of kids fishing rods and tackle kits. Each and every year, the Capt. Bob Lewis Kids Challenge uses these donated rods for the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair, the Capt. Bill Broughton Kids Fishing Tournament, and for both the Fall and Winter Capt. Bob Lewis Kids Fishing Challenges. This year these rods will be a vital part in our Fall Kids Fishing Challenge. |

Fish Florida, a non-profit organization, supports organizations that teach people, especially children, about Florida’s fish and aquatic habitats through donations of fishing equipment, grants, and scholarships. Fish Florida's funding comes from the Fish Florida specialty license plate, featuring Florida's saltwater fish - the sailfish. Anglers, boaters, and other concerned individuals purchase the Fish Florida plate, demonstrating their dedication to the future of their sport.
